Founded a startup in the highly competitive blog advertising space. Served as lead growth hacker, sales director, UI designer, product manager, community manager, video talent, talent manager, event organiser. Josh Lim is the Founder and Managing Director of Advertlets.com which reachesbetween 800,000 – 1,000,000 Malaysians a day online through its network ofbloggers & social media sharers.

Advertlets has now expanded beyond blog advertising, and now offersFacebook social media marketing & management as well as bloggerengagement, photography and videography for brands as diverse as Petronas,Nivea, WeChat, Maybank, Ippudo Malaysia, & many more. Josh Lim has the same birthday as the internet (August 6th), and wasalmost always into internet based businesses – starting first as a web designer in early 2000 prior to Advertlets. In 2007, Lim was in both thePrestige Top 40 Under 40 & the Klue Top 20 Under 40. Although not a fulltime PR practioner, his work in the digital media field and many contactsin the industry has managed to help him place writeups and features forhis clients, his celebrity friends and himselfinto media such as Forbes, FHM, Cleo Magazine, The Edge, The Star, TV3,NTV7, Astro Ria.

Lim is an active public speaker, and has spoken at The World Media Summit for Children, APEC, ABF, and also demoed software to an audience of thousands at a Microsoft Developer Network event. He believes strongly inmotiviating local youth, and has spoken at The Star Education Fair, MMU, Help College, UKM, Malaysia Entrepreneurship And Leadership Convention 2011 at Universiti Utara Malaysia on the subject of entrepreneurship (also speaking was Jason Lo, CEO of Tune Talk & Wayne Lim, Chairman of Malaysia SME) as well as the recent Asia E-Commerce Conference 2012.

He has been featured in relation to his blog (www.josh.my) on The Straits Times Singapore, urbandictionary.com & more. He also spoke at the PJ Challenge Blogger’s Karnival (also speaking were Kenny Sia, Jason Goh other local celebrity bloggers). Lim has had his head encased in a glass box with scorpions on Fear Factor Malaysia, and won RM3500 on Deal Or No Deal Malaysia, and didn’t qualify for judging at Malaysian Idol. Aside from that, Josh enjoys playing badminton weekly, and is trying to go to the gym more regularly. His ambition when he grows up is to be Malaysia’s favourite Josh.
